Q. How does Scentsy work?
A. The Scentsy warmer uses a 25 watt lightbulb to heat the wax and emit fragrances throughout your home.   All you need is one square of wax from a Scentsy bar. Put it in the warmer, turn the warmer on and enjoy the wonderful fragrance of Scentsy.
Q. How long does the wax last?
A. One Scentsy bar can last anywhere between 60-80 hours depending on a variety of factors, including: the size of room, room temperature, how many squares are used at a time and even your body’s unique reaction to smell. Light fragrances usually will not last as long as heavier fragrances will.
Q. Where can I buy Scentsy?
A. You can buy Scentsy online 24/7 and it will ship right to your door. You can also call a Scentsy Consultant to order by phone.
Q. How can I earn free Scentsy?
A. Earning free Scentsy is easy! All you have to do is host a Scentsy party and invite everyone you know. Once your party reaches a qualifying order of $200 (US) or $240 (CA) you begin to earn 1/2 price products and 10% credit towards your own Scentsy purchase. The higher the amount of your party order, the more 1/2 price products and credit you earn.
Q. What kind of wax is used?
A. Scentsy Bars are made from a high-quality paraffin wax blend, which was chosen for its ability to hold fragrances and also for its low melt point. This wax does not emit any type of harmful chemical into the air.
Q. What kind of oil is used?
A. Scentsy uses key fragrance oil, which is the highest grade of oil before processing. The oils used in Scentsy products do not contain phthalates.
Q. How much wax do I need?
A. Depending on the size and space of the area you are covering – you may want to add more than one cube at a time.  For large areas with high vaulted ceilings it is recommending to have 2 cubes (or more if you prefer).  You can start out with one cube of a Scentsy bar to determine your preference. .
Q. What do I do when the wax runs out of fragrance?
A. Once your wax runs out of fragrance you can clean your Scentsy dish in a few ways, pour the melted wax back into its container to cool. Wipe out the top of the warmer with a paper towel and you are ready to put new wax in. Once the old wax has cooled you can throw it in the trash.  For a quick and easy tip you can add a cotton ball to the Scentsy dish to soak up the melted wax, discard and wipe the dish out with another cotton ball and then add another cube of your favorite Scentsy wax!
Q. Can I change out scents or do I have to wait until the one I am using runs out of fragrance?
A. You can change scents at any time. All you need to do is pour the melted wax back into its container to cool. Then wipe out the top of the warmer with a paper towel and you are ready to put in a new scent.
Q. How long can I leave my warmer on?
A. You can leave the warmer on as long as you like. There is no flame, so there is no fire hazard.
Q. Do I have to buy Scentsy from a consultant local to my area?
A. No. Since the product ships directly to you, you can order Scentsy products from any Scentsy Consultant, regardless of location.
Q. What forms of payment are accepted?
A. If you are buying Scentsy products from a local Scentsy Consultant you can pay for your order with cash, a personal check, or a credit card. Online orders require payment by credit card.
Q. What is Scentsy’s Return Policy?
A. Scentsy does not extend cash refunds for any reason. Once an order is placed, it cannot be canceled or changed. If you are unsatisfied with a product for any reason you may return the product, for replacement or exchange, within 30 days of when the product is received.
Q. How come I cannot get the same promotions and discounts when I order online as I can when I make personal contact with a Scentsy Consultant?
A. Each Scentsy Consultant is allowed to offer his/her own personal promotions and discounts which are not offered by Scentsy itself, so you must make personal contact with the consultant in order to receive the advertised discount or promotion.

  1. With a retail value of $.01 – $79.99, shipping will be $8.00.
  2. With a retail value of $80.00 – $199.99, shipping will be 10 percent of the product total.
  3. With a retail value of $200 or more, shipping will be FREE.

*For orders attached to an online party shipped to a location within the contiguous United States with a retail value of $.01 – $79.99, shipping will be $8.00; for orders with a retail value of $80.00 or more, shipping will be 10 percent of the product total.

  3. With a retail value of $240.00 or more, shipping will be 10 percent of the product total.

Q. How/when will my order ship?
A. When you place your order, it gets printed off at Scentsy’s distribution center and ships directly to you from Scentsy’s distribution center. Your order will ship via UPS ground. Scensy does not use any other carriers and does not offer any other shipping or expedited shipping options at this time.
Scentsy’s policy is that your order will leave the distribution center within 10 business days, however, Scentsy does try to ship items out as soon as possible. Shipping times may be much less than 10 business days during slower times of the year (mainly summer months-June and July) and may increase up to the full 10 business days during busier times of the year (end of year holiday season) but your order should always ship within 10 business days regardless of the time of year. So if you ordered in July and received your order in 4 days but then ordered again in December and had to wait 12 days to receive your order, that is why.
This 10 business day policy is a policy, not a guarantee. Every now and then popular items will go on back order and if that is the case you may wait a little longer to receive an item. When items go on back order Scentsy does all in its power to expedite additional shipments of back ordered items to its distribution center to try and keep shipping times to a minimum. If an item you ordered is on back order you will be notified via e-mail.
Q. Can I sell Scentsy?
A. Yes. Anyone over the age of 18 with a valid Social Security Number or legal resident # can sell Scentsy. Click here for more info on how to become a Scentsy Consultant.
Q. Are there any monthly requirements?
A. To be active with Scentsy you must place a 150 Personal Retail Volume within one month every three months.  Personal Retail Volume (prv’s)  do not roll over from month to month in order to be active a consultant would need to place 150 prv’s in the month of January and then no prv’s are required for February or March, and to remain active 150 prv’s must be entered in the month of April. 
Q. Are there requirements for sponsoring?
A. If you choose to sponsor and build your team, you must place a 150 prv order in one month every three months.
